On the morning of September 19th, Hefei University holds a recruitment talk for its Volkswagen College on campus, which attracts nearly 1,000 freshmen of science and engineering. The attendees are interested in the dual-system concept adopted by Volkswagen College integrating industry, program and employment, as well as its multi-stage and multi-scene teaching mode.

Wang Xiaofeng, Dean of Volkswagen College, introduces the background, purpose, organizational structure and development vision of Volkswagen College. Ye Wen, Senior Director of Public and Joint Venture Affairs Department of Volkswagen China, and Shao Jian, Chief Human Resources Officer of Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd., introduce the enterprise scale, industrial bases, R&D center and corporate culture of Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen China and Volkswagen Anhui. For 2022 freshmen, such three programs are offered as Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science and Big Data Technology and Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Engineering. They learn more about the Volkswagen College, the programs and the enrollment through the introductions from teachers and the graduates.

Volkswagen College of Hefei University was set up in 2021, by Hefei Municipal Government, Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd. and Hefei University, in the hope of building a leading domestic automobile engineering college committed to the future automotive technology and intelligent connected vehicle.
